Simply add a tablespoon to your favorite smoothie or juice and blend away! The best juices or smoothies that go well with flaxseed meals are spinach, apple, kale, and blueberry.  I also like to put it ontop of my yogurt (dairy or non-dairy) and leave it overnight for a thicker morning meal.

Simply mix together two tablespoons of flaxseed meal, one tablespoon of olive oil, a pinch of salt and pepper, and some herbs if desired. Then spread the mixture onto a baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes at 350°F. Enjoy your homemade flaxseed crackers with some hummus or other dip of your choice.  They also have these at the store if you are not into making them yourself. Overall you just have to make sure that you consume flaxseeds in moderation, as they are high in calories and carbohydrates. But by adding a 1 to 2 tablespoons to your daily diet, you can reap the many benefits of flaxseeds and help you lose weight in a healthy manner. Additionally, understanding the difference between weight loss and fat loss can also help you determine if you’re losing the right kind of weight.
