4 Key Things to Include in Your Weight Loss Journey

A Woman Using A Weighing Machine To Determine Her Weight

As a society, we are bombarded with diet fads and tips to help us lose weight. From cutting out carbs to going vegan, there are a million different ways to supposedly shed those extra pounds. But despite all of the information out there, many of us still struggle to lose weight and keep it off. If you’re one of those people, don’t despair! In this blog post, I have compiled a few key things that you should include in your weight loss journey to help you finally achieve success.

1.  Set Realistic Goals

One of the biggest mistakes that people make when trying to lose weight is setting unrealistic goals. If you set your sights too high, you are more likely to become discouraged and give up. Instead, set realistic goals that you know you can achieve. For example, rather than trying to lose 50 pounds in two months, set a goal of losing five pounds in that time frame. Or, rather than pledging to go to the gym every day, commit to going three times a week. Small goals are much easier to reach, and they will keep you motivated to continue on your weight loss journey.

Another important thing to keep in mind when setting weight loss goals is to focus on the process, not the outcome. This means that you should focus on making healthy lifestyle changes, such as choosing the best weight loss diet plan for women or cutting out processed foods, rather than fixating on the number on the scale. When you make healthy changes, the weight will eventually follow, and you will be more likely to maintain your results in the long term.

2.  Find a Support System

If you’re trying to lose weight on your own, it can be tough to stay motivated. This is why it’s important to find a support system to help you along the way. This could be a friend, family member, or even an online community. Having someone to lean on for support will make it much easier to stick to your weight loss goals, and moreover, it can be fun! You can share tips, recipes, and workout ideas with your support system to help keep each other on track.

In addition to this, I would also recommend finding a professional to help you with your weight loss journey. My weight loss clinic in Spokane  provides one-on-one counseling to women along with group visits to support a community approach to weight loss. A holistic approach, like this, is often more effective than once size fits all diet and programs. From developing a personalized diet plan to providing emotional support, a professional can help you in ways that your friends and family may not be able to. Either way, make sure to find a support system that works for you!

3.  Be Consistent and Patient

One of the most important things to remember when trying to lose weight is to be consistent and patient. Results won’t happen overnight or even within a month sometime, and there will undoubtedly be setbacks along the way. There will be times when you feel like giving up, but it’s important to remember it’s more about consistency than perfection. Remember why you started on this journey in the first place and keep your eye on the prize, a healthier and happier you.

I usually tell my clients to consider weight loss as a marathon, not a sprint. It’s essential to take things slow and steady in order to make lasting changes. If you try to do too much too quickly, you are more likely to get burnt out and give up. Build in your free meals and remember you live in America; we eat out! So start making small changes today and try to trust your body for the first time – she has your back.  What a beautiful relationship.

4. Get a medical evaluation from a clinic specialist

Last but not least, please make an appointment with a clinical specialist in weight loss in Spokane. You can find a provider at the Obesity Medicine Association find a provider link. We are trained specific to help you understand the reason why you are struggling to lose weight. Often, the etiology behind weight loss has much more to do with diet and movement.
